I am getting out of the finished jewelry business so I can concentrate on my designs for dichroic glass. I don't usually offer my work online, but since I am only doing one show -- the Bead Renaissance Show in June at the Palace Station Casino in Las Vegas, I thought I'd offer the work here. Shown below are a small taste of my medallion pendants. These are fused glass pendants, generally the larger neck pieces. They have openings formed in the kiln, so no additional hardware is needed (except the chain or neck ring, if you choose). Three to six layers of glass are carefully cut, arranged and fired in a kiln. Temperatures run around 1500 F to 1600 F. Many types of art glasses are used. All pendants come with a satin cord. Colors and sizes vary greatly. Retail prices range from $10.00 to $60.00. Email me for current selection. |

The labyrinth design I use is known as the seven-circuit Cretan or classical. Ancient images of this labyrinth are found all over the world -- on Cretan coins, carved on rock faces in Spain and northern Italy and on shards of pottery in Greece. Two to four layers of glass are carefully cut, arranged and fired in a kiln. The labyrinth emblem is a platinum image that is fired onto the fused glass. It fires to a bright silver. Temperatures run around 1500 F to 1600 F. Many types of art glasses are used. All pendants come with a satin cord. Colors and sizes vary greatly. Retail prices range from $10.00 to $60.00. Gold and dichroic color emblems are also available. |
